FDI Value-Add Proposal: Unified Validation Reports in OTBI and FDI

I would like to propose an idea to enhance data validation between FDI and OTBI. While FDI already provides a data validation utility, in practice client teams rarely engage with it, and based on my experience, they are often reluctant to rely on the high-level outputs it generates. In addition, there are situations where functional support teams are not available to assist in this process of data validation as they exit after their deployment.
To address this, we could introduce a catalog of tabular reports for common subject areas—one set in OTBI and a corresponding folder in the FDI catalog. These reports would contain the most commonly required functional fields, making it easier to compare and validate data across the two tools.
I believe this approach would provide significant value and I hope the Oracle team will consider taking it forward.
