Benefits of Oracle Data Visualization vs Classic BI

Hi Team,
Do we have any documentation or reference material that highlights why we should use Oracle Data Visualization (DV) instead of the Classic BI reporting tool?
We’d like to showcase the key advantages and business benefits to the customer — especially how DV can enhance Enterprise Analytics through better interactivity, self-service capabilities, and modern visualization features.
Please let me know if there’s anything readily available that we can share with the customer.
Thanks,
Saroj

Hi,
I cannot speak on behalf of Oracle, but in general "Classics" represents more governed/enterprise approach (tided together with more sophisticated data modelling in so called Semantic Model - which btw can be leveraged in DV and vice versa "agile" modeling in DV data sets can be leveraged in "Classics") whereas DV is meant for more self-service/agile apporach with better visualization capabilities then Classics ,but still "lacking" (but this is changing) some more "enteprise" features from Classics (more fine tuned security, DV actions are not that mature as Action Framework in Classics etc..). I have a slide from our internal presentation I have done for our internal purposes - for our internal DV training we are doing for our "business users" (comparison between Classics and DV) but it is in Czech language…. The other factor to consider is following: Oracle is not investing in improving/adding new features for "Classics" (reason behind that could be that they think "Classics" is mature enough and world is heading towards self-service), whereas DV is where majority of new features (including integration with GenAI) are heading.
Look at those 2 blogs (made by D. Vlamis) - dealing with Self-Service and Governed Analytics (part 1 +2):

In addition, check out this video.
They reference Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), but the same concepts apply in OAC/S.3
