Feature Request: Add “Filter Style” Selection for Visualization-Level Filters
Currently, OAC allows us to apply filters at: Workbook level,Canvas level,Visualization level
However, “Filter Style” (Dropdown, List, Slider, Checkbox, Toggle, etc.) is available only for Canvas-Level Filters, not at the Visualization-level.
There are many situations where we need filters tightly bound to a single visualization (not the entire canvas). For example:
- Different charts requiring different filter types
- Limiting user interaction only to one chart
- Avoiding confusion when multiple filters appear globally on a canvas
- Achieving compact and interactive dashboards
- Building guided analytical stories with chart-specific filter control
A Visualization-level filter with selectable Filter Style (Dropdown / Checkbox / Slider / Date Picker / Multi-select) would give dashboard designers much more control over UI/UX
