Hi, When we deploy subject area it takes time to show when we try to create analysis or work book. How to avoid this delay in deployment while development. It is latest on premises 2026 version and using data visualizer to deploy. thanks
Hi Malik, I’m not sure if it’s the same as in Oracle Analytics Cloud, but this option exists in the administration option from classic visualization; it helps us immediately reflect the changes we make to the semantic model.
@Henry Cabrera , when you use the "Reload Files and Metadata", does it work for DV as well?
Because it's true that when deployed a semantic model with the Semantic Modeler, using the "Reload Files and Metadata" (from the admin page or from inside an analysis to see the changes), does work very quickly. But that's just for "classic", DV is a different story…
Just a few weeks ago I had my new semantic model available in "classic" in 30 seconds, while in DV I had to wait 1h to see the subject area I added appear as a usable data source for a workbook. And when I was lucky it took 30 minutes. It just was a nightmare.
And it was on OAS 2026, like OP is using (previous version were the same).
I think there is background process scheduled and we are lucky if it is close to next run then it will imemdiately deploy but no idea sometimes how much to wait. Waiting if someone can provide some details. Thanks

That’s right; it has worked for us many times with DV as well. In cases where it doesn't, launching the browser in private or incognito mode often makes the changes visible immediately, allowing us to avoid waiting for the deployment time—just to clarify, this applies to Oracle Analytics Cloud.
I did try a number of these things hoping it was having some impact, and still I had to wait 1h.
What bother me is the unpredictable behaviour. In "classic" there is a known way to make sure the new model is available, the one you mentioned above.
In DV it is all a guess: try this, try that, maybe it works. I have issues with such kind of behaviour. Mostly because there is little to nothing that I am aware of explaining what happen, why and when. And therefore nothing like a "click this link or button and your new model will be available right after".
I hope a product manager can see this thread and share more details about what is going on in DV when a new model is deployed.
