This post introduces Inventory PAR Analytics for Healthcare in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI). It highlights how customers can analyze PAR setup, inventory levels, counts, and replenishment activity, along with current capabilities, planned enhancements, and example AI-assisted use cases.
Content Description
Healthcare organizations rely on Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) to keep critical supplies available at the right location while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
With the new SCM – Inventory PAR Subject Area in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), customers can analyze PAR setup, inventory levels, counts, and replenishment activity in one place. The subject area is currently available as a Limited Availability feature. So, Oracle Service Request (SR) must be created with Oracle to get this subject area enabled.
Application: Fusion SCM Analytics
Fusion Module: Inventory
Target Persona: Inventory Manager, Materials Manager
Subject Area: SCM Inventory – PAR
What Can You Analyze Today?
- PAR-enabled subinventories and locations
- Items associated with PAR subinventories
- PAR levels and maximum quantities by item and organization
- Replenishment quantities generated to meet PAR levels
- Quantity-tracked and non-quantity-tracked PAR locations
- PAR setup across Organization, Subinventory, Item, Category, Employee, Time, and UOM
- PAR attributes such as Count Method, Sourcing, Lead Time, and PAR Location
- Subinventory and Item-Subinventory associations for broader inventory analysis
Business Questions You Can Answer
- How many PAR-enabled subinventories do I have across my organizations?
- Which items are assigned to each PAR subinventory?
- What PAR levels are defined for my items?
- How much replenishment quantity is being generated to restore inventory to PAR levels?
- Which PAR locations have the highest replenishment activity?
- Which PAR-enabled subinventories have no associated items?
- How does PAR setup and replenishment activity vary across organizations, subinventories, and items?
AI Capabilities for PAR
FDI’s AI capabilities, including the AI Assistant, can help users interact with PAR analytics using natural-language questions.
With the Inventory PAR subject area as the analytical foundation, users can quickly explore PAR setup, replenishment activity, and exceptions without having to manually build every analysis.
For example:
- “How many PAR-enabled subinventories do I have by organization?”
- “Show the number of items assigned to each PAR subinventory.”
- “Show PAR levels and maximum quantities by item and organization.”
This makes it easier for inventory and supply chain users to move from a business question to insight more quickly.
PAR Attributes support in Existing SCM Subject Areas
PAR-related Subinventory and Item-Subinventory attributes are also available in selected existing SCM subject areas, enabling users to bring PAR context into broader inventory and supply chain analysis.
This allows users to analyze PAR attributes alongside Inventory, Costing, Transfer Orders, and Procurement data for a more connected view of replenishment operations.

We have created a PAR Analytics dashboard and demo video to show how users can move from PAR setup visibility to replenishment analysis and operational insights. 🎥 Watch the PAR Analytics demo: Inventory Analytics: Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR)
What’s Next for PAR Analytics?
We are continuing to expand PAR Analytics with additional operational metrics and deeper cross-functional analysis.
Locator-Level Visibility
We plan to introduce locator-level support in a future release. Since locators are fundamental to PAR operations, this enhancement will provide more granular visibility into PAR setup and replenishment at the exact stocking location, helping users better analyze item-locator assignments, counts, PAR levels, and replenishment activity.
Planned enhancements include new metrics such as:
- PAR Location Count
- PAR Subinventory Count
- PAR Item Count
- PAR Bin Count
- PAR Employee Count
- PAR Items per Employee
- Daily Counts per Employee
Future phases are also planned to extend replenishment traceability across:
- Supplier to Purchase Order
- Source Organization to Transfer Order
- Source Subinventory to Movement Request
Future capabilities are also planned to provide broader analysis across Inventory, Transfer Orders, Procurement, Cost Accounting, and Item Costs.
If your organization is using PAR replenishment today, we would love to hear about your use cases and feedback as we continue to expand PAR Analytics in FDI.
