Migrate OBIEE 12c on Windows 2012 R2 to OBIEE12c on Oracle Linux 6 Environment

Dear ,

we are planning to migrate OBIEE 12c implementation on windows 2012 R2 to Oracle Linux 6 Environment , is there any document

for the same to guide through the process, or any suggestions ?

Is it feasible to Migrate between 2 different Operating systems ( from Windows to Linux ) ?

I am thinking of :

1) Install a new OBIEE 12c on Linux

2) deploy the 12c RPD,webcat,etc.. from windows to Linux

Please advise on the same..

Yes I am considering these (Security, style/skin etc ) as well , but is that the right approach ? or can you suggest any document ?

Not really. It's a question that gets asked sometimes here in the forum and generally it's "take stuff from A and move it to B". Not really any migration path per se. Just make sure you don't forget anything.

BAR file should even work if bloody MS doesn't mangle it with any special chars inside so that Linux can't read it properly anymore.
