Are prompts available in Data Visualizer?

Hiya all,
I've been using Answers and am looking to switch over to Data Visualizer and I am wondering if DV has the option to use prompts like Answers does. I can't seem to find anything, but I could be looking in the wrong place!
I am able to find information on the conceptual differences between the two tools, however I can find little to no documentation outlining the functionality differences between the two.
Any assistance would be FANTASTIC.

Basically the filters serve the same function and are kind of a merge of "filters" and "prompts" as you know them in OBI
