OBIEE - BI report

I want to know whether you can create a link based report from
PO Summary Report from 01-JAN-2017 to 31-JAN-2017
PO NO PO AMOUNT
12579 5000.00
1589 2000.00
If I click on say1589 it should open another report say PO detail report and will show the detail for 2000 for that period without any parameter to be entered and should be able to excel - export the same from detail report.
I have done link based report in Analysis but not in BI report.
Any help or any document or any white pages will help.

Wat? Do you mean Answers analysis vs BIP report?

Hi,
If you are talking about drill down in BI publisher, you would have to use hyperlinks. Here are some nice examples
Oracle BI Publisher Consulting: Drill Down to Detail or Another Report

Awesome Sherry. You made my day. This is what I was looking.

Hello Christian.
In OBIEE you can design create report using the Analysis(pick up and choose the column from the Presentation Layer)
and also you can write SQL statements using JDBC connections. Here you had to attach your own template.
Once template and the sql is ready, then you can create hyperlinks. I was having issues if I jump from Summary report to Detail report.
Please refer below to Sherry George comment.

Do you have anything related to OBIEE ? Its our reporting tool
The one you updated is for BI Publisher.
Still I think I can use the logic and the concept.

Sorry your last reply is confusing. I thought you wanted to do it in BI publisher. In OBIEE master-detail reports are implemented by drill/action links. So I'm re-posting Christian's question, what did you meant by BI report, if it is not BI publisher report?

Hope you can see this. Sorry I am not sure how to attach a word doc.
This is what we have.
The issue, I am facing here is I don’t want to enter the parameter dates here and also I don’t want to press the Apply Button. It should pass the parameter report from Merchant to Detail Report.
This is what is written on Amount column. I need the syntax of xmlpserver/report name/ xxxxxxxx

ok, so it looks like you are using BI publisher reporting. You should read Kan Nishida's blog, the first link Oracle BI Publisher Consulting: Drill Down to Detail or Another Report , this will give you the idea. The detail report should be built such that it can accept parameters you pass from the master report. You pass the params using the syntax like {/ROWSET/ROW/BUGNO} in the URL for the detail report. Refer this thread below, it has a similar requirement as yours.

a) Thanks for schooling me on OBI. I really needed that. Clearly as you can see from my forum participation I have no clue what I am talking about. </sarcasm>
b) If you took the time to actually write questions that made sense with the proper explanations in the first place then you wouldn't get questions back. Yes, Sherry replied directly with some links but it is up to you to write proper initial questions which aren't misleading!

And THAT is the problem.
Your question is vague and you clearly have an issue with the distinctions between OBIEE and BIP.
