Suppress cell value in Grand Total row

Hello. I have a requirement to suppress a single cell value in the Grand Total Row of a report. Initially someone suggested I should go in the column properties and set the Aggregation Rule (Totals Row) to None. When I do this then the whole column is suppressed. I would only like to suppress the cell in the Grand Total Row. I have tried on both a table and pivot table.

Not really sure how you're doing it or what you're setting where but this works perfectly fine:

Thanks Christian. The environment I'm in is somewhat finicky. This worked.

Finickyness normally points to some kind of mess-up
Anyways if your question is answered can you please close this thread

I'm curious: this worked but not this Hide Column in Grand Total row ?
Which is exactly the same thing but you said it didn't work ... (the only difference is the screenshot taken on 11g instead of 12c Christian used)
