Impersonate Vs. Proxy Act As

We have done all steps and facing following error: This functionality has not been enabled by your administrator

Placed the XML file in the below location and added the parameters in instanceconfig.ini file as well.

D:\Oracle\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\msgdb\l_en\customMessages

Are the DB tables correctly deployed, accessible and are the queries emitted against those tables returning CORRECT results?

Is the XML file valid and correctly accessible?

If your env is clustered- are you sure the config has been done on all nodes?

If really every step has been followed and done correctly it must work. It's vanilla functionality.

    Hi Christian,

    Thanks for your reply.

Proxy table was imported and able to view data in RPD and XML file was valid. We do not have cluster environment.

Can you please confirm from the below locations where I need to create customMessages folder may be location of the file might be wrong.

    Version using: OBI  11.1.1.7.150120

    Home>\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\msgdb\customMessages

    D:\Oracle\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\msgdb\l_en\customMessages

    Thanks in advance,

The locations are fine. Have you validated that the queries bring back correct data for the users?

How does your XML file look in terms of content?

Does your instanceconfig reference the correct WebMessage?

Also make sure you've checked all the bits and pieces in the official documentation: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/bi.1111/e10543/mgrgrpsusers.htm#BIESC1618

Have you correctly granted the required application policies?!

    3.    ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obipsn\analyticsRes\customMessages

Second or third. Depending on whether you actually use analyticsRes or not for example. Safest bet is second.
