Migrating Dashboard Saved Customization OBIEE 11g to 12c

Hi there,

Has anyone successfully migrated dashboard saved customization from OBIEE 11g to 12c?  I am able to migrate the _selections folder from 11g to 12c without issues.  The saved customization appears in the menu option as in 12c as in 11g however, when you select the customization it does not apply the customization as defined in 11g.

Has anyone experienced this same result?  And if so, were you able to solve the issue?

Any help is appreciated.

Have they come over to 12c through the standard, full migration process via migration-tool.jar, the BAR file or just archive/unarchive?

Thanks for the reply.

We first tried using the standard migration process but it was problematic.  As a result, we switched back to the archive and unarchive method.  I did find a paper that the BI team at Standford wrote noting that they had the same issue with Saved Customizations (in addition to other items).

Hi there - see page 19 of the PDF.  We are also experiencing the issue regarding session hang when analysis fetches 23K rows (seems fine for 4-5K rows).  In 11g its fine, it returns within 10-15 seconds (reasonable).

I can't reproduce this on my migrated environments. What are those "certain test cases" which are being referred to?

Also session hangs - haven't had that either

For the test cases in the PDF?  I am not sure.  They did not specify, they were pretty general in the comments.
