Export to Excel should hide prompts

Hi Folks,
When I do Export to Excel -> Export Current Page, I should only see the report results exported into excel but not the prompts above the report in excel.
So kindly provide a work around.
Regards,
Vj

@3512682 You're expecting something different than what the tool is expected to do.
If you "Export Current Page" then it does EXACTLY that. It exports the current page. If you include prompts in the page then the prompts will be included in the export. It does precisely what it says.

Yes Christian, you are absolutely right.
But, I need to get only the report data in excel after export but not the prompts section along with the report.
If need be, I want to disable those options and give a custom link if possible.

Do people have to be able to still use the prompts before export?
If not - then why not just put the prompts into the dashboard propoerties instead of mapping them to the page?

Why don't you display the "export" link below the analysis you want your users to export?
That "export" link is local to the analysis, so the result is just the analysis.
As Christian said if you use the "export page" you get, as expected, the full page.

There are several prompts to select but user will leave them as blank and just selects one prompt for Organization before exporting to EXCEL.
Now, when the user exports the excel is showing all the prompts along with the report data.
It looks odd, when you see the prompts along with report data.
So all I need to see is only report data after exporting to excel.

Yes you are right Gianni, But it is giving the same result.
It is also showing the prompts in excel along with the analysis result.

Why not put the prompt on the first page, set its scope to "Dashboard", have the users do their selection on the first page, then go to the second page which will be prompted by the values in the first page and then export?

Not possible ! Or you are not telling us the full story ....
Where are the prompts in my export? Nowhere ...

+1 to Gianni that's simply impossible.
Or you are using in-line prompts inside the analysis definition in which case I'd anyways facepalm right away

Making it short: can you clearly define what/where are your prompts?
If it's table view prompted columns you can't expect a different export as that's the view you are about to export.
