JDK version for OBIA 11.1.1.10.2

I am implementing OBIA 11.1.1.10.2 on Solaris 11 VM. The VM already have a jdk 1.8 version installed. As per certification matrix it is told OBIA 11.1.1.10.2 supports JDK 1.7.0_80+.

Please clarify me if JDK 1.8.0_60 will be compatible for the installation or should I install 1.7 separately. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello There,

Go ahead and install Java 1.7.0_80+ and then perform OBIA 11.1.1.10.2 installation and configuration as Java 1.8 has not been certified with OBIA 11.1.1.10.2 as it wasn't released at the time when OBIA 11.1.1.10.2 was released, so there is good chance that prerequisite check might fail during installation/configuration due to non certified Java Version.
