Can we customize the SampleAppLite rpd and catalog?

A customer is using SampleAppplite but when I see in its catalog shared folder , I see lot of folders which you don't see when you jut deploy the SampleAppLite rpd and catalog.

So in this case if I move this SampleAppLite rpd and catalog .. will those shared folders will come too?

It is always an extremely bad decision to start things with the pre-existing RPDs and catalog. You should always start from scratch with blank RPD + webcat!

Your decision ... But if you aren't concerned about security at the beginning when things are empty and it's easy to define and setup a good model, it's too late to be concerned after, once everything has been done and so just a random security will be applied.

Is it required to refresh the GUIDs (NQSConfig.ini and instanceconfig.xml) in this case?

thanks .. is it always? or only when the issue comes because of it? I have 2 Active-Active nodes and rpd and catalog on a shared location .. in this case do I need to do it at both the nodes or at any of the nodes? In case both the nodes , how it should be then .. one at a time .. both nodes should be down ? or I should be first shutdown the first node and let second be running and do the changes in node1's instanceconfig.xml and NQSCOnfig.xml and revert those changes . then start the node1 and brind down node 2 and do the same thing here.

I think doing at any of the nodes should do the trick.

GUIDs are for security and can pose an issue from env to env. They've been removed with 12.

All good except that I cannot see "My Folder" in the catalog manager . I can see the Shared folder and its sub folders.

Any idea?
