OBIEE 12c (12.2.1.2) Exporting Catalog Captions

Hi,

I've been reading the oracle docs around exporting captions strings from the catalog.  Its slightly vague when it comes to the process of exporting new or changed strings. On the first instance I have completed an export of everything from the catalog, generated a captions.xml file with all strings and sent it for translation to various languages.  Going forward I assume I should select 'Only export new or changed strings' for subsequent exports ?

Do I add the incremental exports to the original captions.xml file so that there is only every one file per language on the OBIEE server? (i.e. I don't have original file (captions.xml) plus multiple captions1.xml captions2.xml with incremental exports in language folder (l_xx))

Some help around the best practices on this process would very helpful!
