agent errors in OBIEE 12C

we have agents that send reports out to a group of users each morning.
we have just migrated to 12C (12.2.1.2.0) and have been setting up these agents to run in the new server.
but when they run at the scheduled time, the users are getting reports that are meant to be going to different people.
when we check the scheduler logs, the sql generated for the users looks to be correct.
but the actual report they receive isnt the correct one. we also check the alerts in BI and this also shows the incorrect report for that user.
if they login and run the report on a dashboard, they also get the correct result.
i have had to disable the agents until i can fix this.
we also have another error with agents when someone is creating an agent to send something to themselves.
when they go to save, they get an error saying they dont have permissions to send to other users.
but they are sending to themselves only
has anyone else had similar issues with agents?

this sounds like there might be an issue with the scheduler metadata. Check the Scheduler tables (S_NQ_JOB, S_NQ_INSTANCE, S_NQ_JOB_PARAM) in the RCU schema to ensure that everything is set up correctly in the backend.

How you specify user email address in Agent ? Is it by typing in user email address or email group or via AD account ?
Regarding the second issue, are you able to save the agent if Run As = Recipient is selected ? If yes, then refer Doc ID 2069473.1
