Unable to view data in ONLINE MODE for the .csv file

I've created User DSN for the .csv/txt file successfully and imported into OBIEE Physical layer.  I can also view the data in the .csv file when I opened RPD in offline mode.

The same RPD if I opened in ONLINE mode and tried ti view data in the .CSV file- error pop-up saying "CONNECTION HAS FAILED".

Why I can able to view the data in flat file when I can open in offline and why not in ONLINE ?
