    Thanks Christian.. You are right in a way..but using portal Navigation or Go URL is also a part of standard OBIEE components. Though I still agree that it is not that clean/easy approach compared to other options and custom code is always a trouble, who knows which next upgrade may spill the means. Thanks for your time and support.
