Hello Experts,

I am trying to explore Shortcut option in OBIEE , created shortcuts for Filter, Prompt and Report. Need your inputs , if the below assumptions are correct

Though they are visible in Catalog , but Filter Shortcut is not visible during report creation and on the same lines Report and prompts shortcuts are not visible during Dashboard creation.

Is this how shortcuts are expected to work ?

Cheers!!!

Anurag

@AAwas-Oracle Come on are you serious?

    a) You're Oracle. You're closer to the source of information than anybody in here

    b) If it's urgent....pay a consultant. Don't cry in here for others to do your homework

    c) If you look at how filters are stored you will see that they are actually in a special type of system folder. The filters folder. Plus: saved folders are referenced by absolute path. Referencing by shortcut in the analysis construction doens't make sense

    d) Same for dashboards. Dashboards reference objects by absolute path

    e) "Analysis". Not "Reports". "Reports" are BI Publisher objects

    Hi Christian,

Seems like we are being judgmental as may the question may be a little too obvious... updating was required to keep it active.... .  Using the forum to learn from the experiences of others working on the same domain ,, is what open forums are meant for ..no one would be using the forum for critical production issues ...

With that said, thanks for confirming the observations and the time taken to respond. Except for the learner bashing effort:-)

    Cheers!!!!
