Functionality limitations of Hyperion Essbase when licesensed through OBIEE 12c foundation suite

Hello Experts,
I have a question regarding the functionality of Hyperion Essbase Cubes when purchased through OBIEE 12 c foundation suite.
When we purchase licensing for OBIEE 12 c foundation suite, it comes with Hyperion Essbase. Is the Hyperion Essbase functionality we get through OBIEE same as when we purchase Hyperion Essbase directly?
I heard that you cannot edit the Essbase cubes when its purchased through OBIEE, is that accurate?
What are the functionality limitations of Hyperion Essbase when licesensed through OBIEE 12c foundation suite?
