You're not being very specific here. Do you speak about adding the date to the exported file? Are you talking about dashboard exports? Are you talking about BIP bursting?

Thanks, Berg. When the users are exporting the dashboard or report from OBIEE(12.1.1) then the system date should appear at last.
Ex: <<dashbaordname/Reportname>>_01072018

So for Dashboards and *Analyses* via Agents - not possible.
For *REPORTS* as in BIP objects you can do it via bursting options.
You have to be precise with the wordings you use because at the moment you are talking about two distinct products and technologies like they were the same

I am not talking about agents, The user is exporting analysis into PDF or Excel format than the current date as the extension of the analysis/ dashboard name.

No. The name of the file is the analysis name. Some people advocate JavaScript "solutions" (read: hacks) but that really isn't recommendable.

Okay, thanks for inputs. any reference URL much appreciated.

Hello Avinash,
Is this requirement just for the analysis?
Can you display the date on the analysis (before downloading) as well?
If yes, you can display the time in the TITLE Section.

Requirement seems to be to append it to the filename and only one guy ever went to the trouble of writing a VB script to do that...a guy who no longer does BI and shut down his blog
