Use case(s) for 'Publishing Dashboard Pages'
Hi All,
We had seen the option to 'Publish Page to Dashboard ...'. I've read a little bit about it, but I am not totally clear on the use case(s)/benefits of doing this. Listing a few points/questions below, as examples.
It sounds like it is only for individual dashboard pages (as opposed to entire dashboards), right?
Security would be inherited from whatever the target folder has on it?
No issues with the new path for the embedded objects?
Why not move, or use copy/paste?
Thanks in advance for any additional input also!

Hi Charles,
Only for pages (or sub-pages).
Security is inherited from the target parent (so the target _portal folder).
Same path issues as always: if a path changes you need to update it.
Basically the same as copy + paste for keyboard-lazy people. "Move" would basically be a Ctrl+X/Ctrl+V.

Thanks Christian. So, essentially not too much extra functionality here. Just a feature to do something in a bit of a different way?

Yeah as usual: "How to do X - Option 27"
