  • Your question is quite vague ...

As you ask in the OBIEE forum let's assume that you have 2 OBIEEs in front (cloud or on-premises doesn't change, the tool is the tool).

You say reports: do you mean BI Publisher reports or OBIEE Answers analysis (and dashboards, prompts etc.) ?

In general a migration is done by archiving from one environment and unarchiving in the target environment in the catalog directly.

    Thanks for your reply,
as i am a new user of the OTM BIEE tool , well i'd like to migrate my reports, analysis and prompt from oracle transportation intelligence (OBIEE) to another environment.
I'd like to know how to perform this migration. (do i need a special tool to do so?)
    Thanks et regards.

  • Not sure what "OTM BIEE tool" is exactly and how it looks like. Do you have a proper OBIEE or you just see OBIEE content inside something else?

Can you develop your own analysis? Do you have access to the catalog page where you can browser through the catalog and see the various elements (dashboards, analysis etc.) ?

Of the what? What's OTM OBIEE? Do you mean OTBI?

  • OTM seems to be Oracle Transportation Management, there is an OBIEE component in there (saw a 11g blog post about it )

    Hi,
The tool that i'm talking about is : BI.PNG

  • That's OBIEE, perfect

So there if you select your content you want to export, you must have an "archive" action in lower-left corner of the screen. In that way you archive the content you need and you download the archive.

On the target system you select the target folder and in the same lower-left corner you must have "unarchive" which allows you to select the archive you downloaded.

Adir that doesn't answer the question. Is it a real, stand-alone OBIEE or is that a pre-built, baked-in, re-skinned, integrated mongrel where you don't have access to half the funcationalities :-)

    Hello,
It is a pre-built solution within the oracle transportation management (OTM).

    Thanks.
