Issue when upgrading artifacts from OBIEE 11g to 12c (cannot find services.xml)

I'm trying to migrate artifacts (including OBIA) from 11.1.1.9.0  to 12.1.1.4

when I run the migration tool, after exporting the jar file, I get the following error.

SEVERE: Error on reading or wrting file services.xml: java.io.FileNotFoundException:  <home>/user_projects/domains/<bienv>/bidata/service_instances/ssi/metadata/services.xml (no such file or directory)

(I noticed that there is no service.xml or services.xml even in the out-of-the-box installation.


prior to this, there is a warning.

WARNING: Error in createServiceInstance for SI key ssi

What could I be doing wrong? I followed the documentation instructions for moving the jar file.
