Why do I get display issues when hiding a column in a graph?

Hi,
I'm using Oracle Business Intelligence 12.2.1.0.0 and I've created a graph that has the products on the x-axis and the total revenue on the y-axis.
I want the products to be grouped by tier 1 but I want tier 2 to display. To do this, I've ticked the 'Hide' box under Column Properties - Column Format for the tier 1 column.
This does exactly what I need and sorts my graph the way I want it to. However, on the x-axis, instead of listing the tier 2 products, it lists the tier 2 products with a comma before them.
Is there a way to display the tier 2 products without the comma?
Thanks,
Adam
