Hi Experts,

Our BIEE version is 11.1.1.1.7.X,and want to use the navitive Apache Spark SQL, but we do not find it in Admin Tools .
Is there any method to add it like BIEE 12C? If it is yes, how to do it ?

Thanks very much.

    Hi nameless user,

As an oracle employee you are hopefully aware that

    a) You can not change the source code of a product to include new driver libraries and generate the necessary code. That's what product development is for and why there are new versions.

    b) 11.1.1.7 is out of error correction support and has NO extended support option (ref https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocContentDisplay?id=1664916.1 ) so your question pertains to a dead product without any support.

So what you are asking is against Oracle's rules in pretty much every way you look at it.

That said you always have the option of installing an ODBC driver on the machine where your OBIEE is running and use ODBC to connect to your source. Like from Simba or databricks.

Obviously lowest-common-denominator, pure ODBC code will be produced. Zero functionality shipping.

You can't ... BUT you can query Apache Spark and show BIPublisher content on your dashboards
