HI All,

We have a dashboard that contains a number of analyses. One if which is returning many rows ... and, as a result is taking up too much space as opposed to the other components.

I was looking for the way to limit/restrict the row to be returned (pagination?). But, I wasn't able to find it. Anyone know how this can be done?

OBIEE 11.1.1.9.x (Bi Apps)

Regards,

Charles

Thanks Christian. Is there anything at the "table" level? I was reading about the 'Style' tab ... but it didn't seem to do anything when I put in some values in that 'Rows per Page' field.

    <MaxVisibleRows>500</MaxVisibleRows>

    <DefaultRowsDisplayed>30</DefaultRowsDisplayed>

    ^--- this governs pagination

    Hi Christian,

I see that there are some formulas in two of the columns, in the analysis. First is COUNT ... CASE ... . Second is CASE... WHEN ... .

Coulkd that override/ignore any of these settings?

    Regards,

    Charles

Where? In the RPD? Or in the analysis?

    The analysis itself (criteria tab)

Such formulae wouldn't "expand" the data set scope. The query itself must be fetching a lot of raw data.

If your main concern is the dashboard space the results consume, the "Fixed header with scrolling content" option allows all of the results to be viewed in a fixed-size window.

    Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the reply. We do have that setting enabled, but it doesn't appear as though it is performing as expected. Likewise, Content paging doesn't seem to have any effect either>

Unfortunately, I cannot show the results, becuase the output contains company data.
