We are doing OBIEE 11g  11.1.1.9.1 tto OBIEE12c 12.2.1.3. Its a linux environment. Post Upgrading OBIEE11g code successfully , I logged-into OBIEE12c environment and clicked on "My account" and also "Manage priveileges", I got the below error..

I suspect somewhere the policy is being hit but if you have faced any issues please let me know.

You may want to think about what you are doing there. You are upgrading to an out-of-date and no longer supported version. That's questionable at best.

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your response.

I earlier tried with 12.2.1.4  and I was facing the similar issue. I suspected if the issue could be with latest version. So This time I tried with one step back version and facing the same issue. So its confirmed its not Software related one.

    Regards,

    Rathi

If you had this with .4 as well then the it looks like catalog corruption. This issue had also been reported in 11g already (see MOS Doc ID 2064955.1).

Personally I only faced this issue only a handful of times and its resolution was tailor-made for the situations. It's classically backlog of legacy "nastiness" for lack of a better term.

    Hi Chris,

Gone through the link and its to do catalog validation and GUID refresh and which I have done it prior to taking the 11g bundle.

    regards,

I know. Didn't imply that that's the solution, just saying it got reported already.
