Get Pivot Table Totals to Calculate Properly
Hello I have used some feedback from Christian Berg in this thread to allow me to create QoQ and YoY calculated items in my pivot table.
% Change YoY or QoQ in Pivot Table?
Then I ran into the issue of getting them in the format of a %. So I did some research and i was able to get these working by following the below blog post referencing a workaround using conditional formatting:
ORACLENERD: Conditional Formatting of Calculated Items in OBIEE 11g
However, now that I have the %'s formatted correctly I am failing to get the totals to calculate or format properly in the % columns. In the In the above referenced Blog Post there is a comment that references how to get the % totals to calculate correctly.....however it is not elaborated on. I was hoping someone on this message board has ran into this issue before and is able to direct me on a way to fix my issue
Here is the comment which i think would help to solve my Totals issue. Any help would be appreciated:
I've achieved the same result by directly testing the base fact column (the year in your example) for "IS NULL". If you replace the total line with another calculated item that sums the row categories, the conditional format will work.

Can you create a calculated row that does the total instead of using the grand total functionality?
I noticed it was a suggestion in the comments of the 2nd link you posted.0
