Unable to delete a reporting agent
Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is safe and well! I was trying to delete a disabled agent and it doesn't seem to allow me to. I always get this error message. Anyone else experiencing this issue? What should I do?
Appreciate the insight. Thanks!

You're not stating which precise version you're running, so I can't tell you the exact patch number. This is a known bug.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for the reply. What version are you pertaining to?

YOUR version of OBIEE. The precise one. Not "12c".

@April Fuentes so did you give up on this?

Hi Christian,
Thanks for the nudge. I got sidetracked on Friday. Sorry, but where can I get that information? I'm still learning about the platform, so my apologies for all these questions.
TY!

In OBIEE -> Administration -> then on the top

Hmm, I don't see "Administration" from my view. See above screenshot.
And for me to go this OBIEE page, this is where I navigate it from. See screenshot below. Am I missing anything?

Ok you're not an admin.
Tell your admin to look at 29899754 and find their correct version.

Hi Christian,
This is what our admin told me: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (Oracle BI EE) version 11g (11.1.1.9). Is that it?

That's just the main release. A precise version number would be something like 11.1.1.9.190115 for example. Just saying 11.1.1.9 is like saying "I have a problem with my car. - What's the exact car you have? - A blue Mercedes." They should know better if they're woorth their money.
In any case they need to go to MOS (My Oracle Support) , check that bug and see whether for their EXACT version there is a patch. That's what admins do, that's their job as admins. Not for you to do on a public, free forum.
I've checked and 11.1.1.9.190115 DOES have a patch for this bug but I can't tell you if you're running exactly this version. And since it's never recommendable to just install any patch on any version and in any case OPatch won't even allow weird version mixing.. It's an admin's responsibility to check this, validate this and do this. Otherwise it's not an admin.
Failing that I'm more than happy to do it for you as from the effort they seem to be putting into administering things, I could probably do that between coffee and cake in the afternoon.
