Hello Experts,

I am not able to see BI Publisher option under Analytics Administration tab.

Also not able to login to XMLPserver URL as well.

Is it because I am using OAS 5.5.0 ?

OAS contains BIP. Did you play with your security? As who did you log on?

    Hi Chris,

I logged in as WebLogic user.

    Application roles are as below:

I also verified Application Deployments at EM and could not see BI Publisher application in the list.

Since I have not done this installation, I am not sure if there was option to ignore BI publisher app installation during installation.

My assumption is that all these components should be available by default , post installation?

The app roles won't tell you the details. With those roles you go to EM and you check the application policies.

Ask whoever installed that. They must have left out BIP.

    Thanks Chris !!!

Sure , Let me reach to Infaops team , who installed it to confirm if they have left out BIP.

As I could not see BIP  in deployed application, it seems to be likely reason.

I went to application policies section at EM, and could not see any security policy for all 3 principal types - Application Role, Users and Group.

Please pardon me if I have not understood how to go to EM with those roles , however I managed to go to application policies section at EM as below.

Let me check with concerned team who setup that environment, thanks for your input.

If you don't mind, may I know what is the purpose of application policies and why those are required ?

Security permissions. They give you access.
