Period as Parent Child Hierarchy

Hi All.

We have this scenario where all the aggregation is done with another application and data is stored in the Oracle DB.

We just need to report on pre-aggregated data and OBIEE is not do any aggregation.

Normal Date dimension level based hierarchy does its own aggregation which needed to be avoided, therefore we decided to go the parent child hierarchy route.

So, dashboard prompt has Period parent child hierarchy.

What we are struggling with is the setting the current day or current month values as default on the prompt.

A hierarchical prompt has some much limited functionality.

Therefore, I need expert advice.

Given the scenario explained above, how do we force OBIEE not to do any aggregation and set those current day or month data as default in the prompt.
