Problems with using Port 80 for OBIEE

Until yesterday, my OBIEE 12c system was running fine. Today I cannot access analytics. Instead, I get this:

HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found

The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Status.cmd shows all services are Running, including the AdminServer and bi_server1. But Enterprise Manager shows that the status of bi_server1 is down, displaying the red down-arrow, with Health of Unknown. I am seeing conflicting information.

I have used port 80 for analytics for many years. Through a series of stops, restarts, and switching the Listen Port for bi_server back and forth between 80 and the 9507 default, I have definitely identified the problem: When I configure bi_server to use Listen Port 9507 (i.e. http://servername:9507/analytics), the status of bi_server1 as seen in EM correctly shows that it is UP, and OBIEE works as expected. When I configure bi_server to use port 80, I get the original DOWN status in EM, and analytics does not work.

I switched back and forth four times. Port 9507 always works. Port 80 always fails.

As noted above, port 80 has worked just fine for years, until yesterday. There have been no configuration changes, no Windows updates, nothing in the recent past.

What types of things should I look for to diagnose what might be going wrong?
