OBIEE 12.2.1.3 can we have Dev on windows server, Prod on Redhat linux (all supported OS versions)

Hi Gurus,

We are on OBIEE 12.2.1.3 and we have 3 environments right now (dev, test and prod). All 3 on MS Windows server 2016. Now we decided to have a 4th environment (kind of pre-prod) and we are thinking of setting this up on Red Hat Linux 7.

My concern is will there be any issues down the line for the RPD, Catalog and security migration between these environments or some other issues (because of different Operating systems).

Kindly throw in your suggestions.

    No there won't as long as you use the correct, supported commands and don't start copying around on file system level

    Thanks Chris, at most we just keep moving BAR files between these environs. Of course any config files like NQSconfig and instance config undergo any modifications, we are going to manually edit them in the other environment.
