    Hi,

    Thanks for the response.

Report is having only 1200 records and its showing fine when we are exporting in excel format. But when we are exporting in CSV or  Tab delimited format we are facing this issue

Checked all config files and EM Max Num of Rows was 25000.

    Thanks in Advance.

What does the file really contains ?

Is the exported file really having an issue or it's when you load it back in Excel that some columns merge etc.? (so more an issue with fields delimiters, quotes etc.)

Yes by default EM has 25000 rows download however when your download it depends on different criteria as a size of the data that you download, please follow the steps and setting your xml files.

    Kind regards,

  • Sorry but before to change settings in XML files I guess it's better to understand what the real issue is ...

The way the OP wrote his thread is more like some columns looks like merged in the middle of the file (=> resulting on garbage values) and not that the file is incomplete or some parts are missing.

So I don't really see how one of the size limit of OBIEE can change the content in the middle of the file ...

Hello Gianni, you are right, yes I know your point of view however he said that he can't download in excel by the size of the file, for that reason he choose the CSV option, if we think about it, when you download to excel from.obiee it Download by the same format (number, date, etc), I think the real.problem behind these is the download excel not to choose csv( which is not friendly for end user).

    Kind regards,

  • But the CSV export is a lot closer to the real data as it bypass the "visual" layout of the analysis and export the raw data returned by the criteria (so including excluded columns etc.).

And the OP said everything is fine when exported in Excel (so it's already working apparently, with doesn't make what has been posted earlier).

So it's not really possible for the CSV to be corrupted if the Excel is fine and it's why I have the feeling the issue is more about "how to open that CSV in Excel" (and related things).

    The.OP said that:

"Due to size.of the report user can't export in excel format tried.."

It let me know that the real problem it's in size and we should setting the files.

As a CSV, I know it Download all columns (hidden column also), but We know csv file is limited by commas, what happened if you have a comma inside a data of a column or number when you open it in excel this could makes the issue.

well right now, I guess that, however I am waiting for the response of the OP.

    Kind regards,

Welcome!
