REST API for Oracle Analytics Cloud

Description
OAC should have documented REST api interface that allows to do the following:
- System Management: Take snapshots (complete/RPD only), store snapshots to object store or within OAC, Create Groups
- DV apis: Monitor data flows, replication jobs and result sets
- Agent monitoring
Thanks
Prakash
Use Case and Business Need
Ability to take snapshot and backup is essential for any enterprise platform. If we want to use the replication, need ability to get the status and setup alerting if any jobs fail
More details
There is no documented API for Oracle Analytics Cloud in the documentation. There used to be Web Services in OBIEE versions (12c, 11g) but those are missing in OAC documentation.

Definitelly "must have" feature. I have already raised SR by Oracle support on this (for OAS version). API should deal also with ability to upload newer version of external data set (CVS/Excel), perform data refresh on data set etc....
There is quite rich API (Web Services) for "traditional" OBIEE world (/analytics), but for DV simply nothing. Very, very limiting factor of DV usage.
Kind regards

We are currently blocked on our OAC integration for our BI Portal (Metric Insights), our wishlist for API's are as follows:
(All requests apply to the "new" Data Visualization catalog.)
- P1: Structured list of objects as ID and name; object IDs should exactly match what would appear in the URL for embedding
- P2: Additional metadata about objects:
- Description
- Last refresh time
- Etc -- put simply: return a big JSON blob with all the available metadata for that DV
- P2: List of Filters and their individual values
- P3: Filtered images of dashboards (pass in an object ID and set of filter/value pairs, return a PNG image)
Update: There are quite a few varied requests in this thread, so I've separated out our specific asks into a new one that can be voted/commented on separately: https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/617638/oac-catalog-apis-for-data-visualizations/

Indeed a must-have feature. We have multiple OAC instances. Managing OAC resources like backup and migration is a challenge for us. Having rest calls would be a great enhancement to OAC management.

Maybe this was part of what @Grayson Stebbins mentioned:
"XREF dependencies": Ability to query what workbooks or analyses or data-flows use a given dataset, or somehow export a full list of dependencies: including all objects, including workbooks, analyses, data-flows, datasets, connections, etc.

This has been marked as delivered. Any specific details on exactly what was implemented? Is everything listed here? https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/api-platform-cloud/apfra/rest-endpoints.html
We are specifically interested in https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/617638/oac-catalog-apis-for-data-visualizations/p1?new=1 which doesn't look like it's been covered at all.
