<ClientSessionExpireMinutes>210</ClientSessionExpireMinutes>

<LogOnExpireMinutes>60</LogOnExpireMinutes>

These are the configurations in the instanceconfig.xml file, yet user is getting logged out of OBIEE after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Has anyone faced this issue before and if you have how did you resolve it?

    Maybe a stupid question but... have you restarted presentation service?

    Yes (it didn't solve the problem), it might be an upgrade issue as we have recently upgraded to 12.2.1.2.0
