@Gabby Rubin-Oracle Couple of days back we have updated to Jan 2024.
"Revert All Changes" option is now by default on.
After using couple of days, I feel it is more confusing than useful.
It is definitely useful option in current session. But more confusing when we open same workbook later in different session.
When people open workbook , it is now open where we left last time. Many times we play around data and once we get what we need, we close the workbook. Really many times we don't need what we left at last session.
When we open workbook , it is suddenly shows something else than expected. Then user need to go and click on Revert All changes.
It is confusion + Additional mouse click + Reload workbook time.

It's a shame, that team, implementing this "Personalization Options" in DV, was not inspired by Saved Selection feature in Classics - since this gives you exactly enough flexibility for consumers - just to list a few (I applied them to DV bellow):
- Consumer decides by its own, whether he wants to save his "customizations" (filters selected, changes in viz layout etc...) and he then saves this under specifice name (to be able to retrieve/apply this customization while opening DV workbook once again)
- Consumer can also decide, whether this saved customization is made "default" (in DV for particular canvas/page in DV workbook) - so it is automatically applied whenever particular canvas/page on DV workbook is opened
- Consumer can "manage" his saved customizations - he can apply them, delete them (and possibly share it with other consumers of the same canvas/page on DV workbook)
@Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle - is this on the roadmap for "Personalization Options" in DV ? It would be great.

Two active projects in development and planned to be delivered in 2024 (OAC) are:
- Saved States of Workbook - users will be able to create multiple saved states with filter customizations. These are user artifacts and private to the user. Manage State is part of this experience.
- User can grab the URL of a workbook state and share with other users. The feature is similar to the bookmark URL feature in OBIEE & will preserve the filter values
The roadmap for personalization also includes users sharing a state of a workbook to users, saving other viz customizations to the workbook state but these are long term projects that we will continue to explore once we deliver the active projects in 2024.
Thanks,
Avinash

@Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle Thanks for sharing the plans. This seems to be on a good way . Looking forward to see it in reality.

Hello,
@Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle - I have a blog from Oracle which mentions about an option for saving personalizatoin in workbooks,
But here, I am not able to find the option in HCM analytics either to enable this feature OR see this option on live workbook.
My requirement is to be able to save my own filters for future access
We are on release - Current Version: 24.R1.P1
Thank you!
Prasad

Hi Prasad,
On OAC, the feature is GA with Jan 2024 update. I am following with the FDI analytics product team to confirm if personalization is enabled.
Thanks.

Hello,
@Avinash Krishnaram-Oracle - quick follow up on this, if you heard back from the product team ?

@Prasad Deshpande go to the About dialog from your OAC home page. If the latest update is January or later, you have access to the feature. This specific one automatically saves the last user state of the filters on the dashboard.
