Allow Custom Sort Order for Dimension Members in Visualizations

In reports developed in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), regardless of the connection type used—whether through the semantic model, direct connections, or other sources—it is currently not possible to define a custom sort order for dimension columns (members) on chart axes. The available sorting options are limited to alphabetical order or sorting based on metric values (e.g., ascending or descending by a measure).
These options do not meet the presentation logic required in various analytical scenarios, where it is essential to maintain a specific custom order of members (e.g., Short Term, Long Term, Simulation), defined according to business rules.
We suggest that OAC allow users to configure a custom display order for dimension members to better support analytical needs, beyond the standard sorting formats currently available.

Hello,
A workaround is to write a custom My Calc (with a case statement) to sort the members in the desired sort order and use the calc as your x-axis dimension.
Thanks.
