I am trying two filter items in the dashboard, but prompt filter shows 111234\;111234A

I need to get rid of \ to get the filter working properly. only ';' passes with '\' if I use ',' it shows as is. But for the OAS analytics needs ';' between two filter items. Any idea i can pass the multiple filter items?

Thanks!

Please show a screenshot of the prompt's settings.

How are you filling in the prompt values, 111234 and 111234A?

  • Appreciate if we can get more context - are you manually typing 111234;111234A and it is becoming 111234\;111234A?

    Sorry for lack of explanation.

Yes. i am putting into the text box prompt and

111234;111234A and it is becoming 111234\;111234A

If I put one search item 111234, it works. ~

    Hi @Tony_OAS_Apex_User,

Not able to replicate the issue here.

Quick Question: Where are you seeing this transformation? within prompt or report code?

Can you please check if there's any code behind the text box for prompt or the report filter? Also in case you are copying the data from any other areas and pasting in the prompt, please type it in to make sure there's no hidden character coming while copy pasting the data.

    Thank you!

from Dashboard prompt, i put the prompt filter items to textbox that passes to Analysis so if I check the filter, it has '/' . something got added in the middle of transfer process.
I made the text box as Presentation Variable and I used operator's contains / is or equal to back and forth... and getting the same result.

    Hi Tony_OAS_Apex_User,

Why did you make the text box as Presentation Variable? I presume it is a column prompt, rather than a variable prompt. Will its column formula not work with a prompted filter's column formula?
