I restart all 5 services in Enterprise Manager.

Oracle said it's a bug in 12.2.1.0 on AIX. They said it's not occurring in 12.2.1.1.

Hi, It happens to all browsers. Anyway, I re-created the subject area's physical, BMM, and presentation layers and it seems OK now. I think the previous developer imported the key/foreign key and maybe that messed something up in the BMM. (just my guess).

Good to know! When we started with OBIEE 12c, our consultants told us it's OK to use newer versions of the Admin Tool because it's backward compatible.

Our issue happened again after this past weekend. So increasing the heap sizes didn't work. We're back to the drawing board.

Hi, I can see the users, no problem. I cannot see the roles! 

We increased memory for our DEV server to 16GB and adjusted the heap size settings for Node Manager, Managed Server, and Admin Server according to the tuning guide. Will monitor for couple of weeks to see if it hangs again. Thanks!

What OS are you installing OBIEE 12c on? Have you tried manually run the start.sh script?
