You need two things: 1) your server needs to be using a certificate that is signed by a well-known CA so that DV Desktop trusts it - same as how a browser trusts well-known CAs. 2) your SSO needs to have left the analytics-ws endpoint unprotected so that a SOAP connection can be made through that channel using Uid/Pwd for…

Possibly an issue with the how the proxy is configured on the machine, it would be very helpful to know if a proxy server is used and if so if it is configured using a script or manually set. It would then appear that the R installer has not been downloaded. So please check to see if the following file is present:…

This question has been asked before - if you search the forum you will find the answer. Currently the driver does not support Community edition. You'll have to wait until we support generic ODBC/JDBC then use your own driver.

If your DV Desktop is licensed through rather than just evaluation then you should open a Support Request. It would make it easier to help you if you update your profile so I can see who you are. If you have any custom plugins I would try removing those. You will also need to run the diagnostic_dump.cmd <logfilename> from…

Is there anything in the rinstall.log ? Do you have a different version of R already installed?

If you want to control aggregation, we recommend use of “aggregation method” in the viz properties. While calcs can be used, the viz properties are the recommended approach.

Minimum System Requirements are posted here: Sorry - Win 2008 is a server OS and we have targeted client OS versions. We do now support Win 2012. We have no immediate plans for 2008.

Not currently possible.

Sounds like a nwjs thing. i.e. the shell we use instead of the browser. Suggest: 1) uninstall DV Desktop and make sure the install folder is empty/removed Note that you should/can leave %localappdata%\dvdesktop where it is for this issue. That's where your personal projects live. 2) re-install and try again If that still…

There is an SDK part to DVD. It allows you to develop custom visualizations and skins. The SDK is documented in the DVD docs. The reason why the SDK is relevant here is because it launches DVD in a local browser rather than in the nwjs shell. Therefore I am hoping to see if you can run DVD through the SDK in order to see…

One thing to check would be if the following files exist?: C:\Program Files\Oracle Data Visualization Desktop\OracleBI1\modules\oracle.bi.dvdesktop.installer\rinstall.jar C:\Program Files\Oracle Data Visualization Desktop\OracleBI1\jdk\jre\bin\java

Looks like the file that determines your internet proxy cannot be accessed. Workaround would be to put the actual internet proxy server in your internet proxy settings rather than having your internet proxy settings point to the proxy.pac script. Or you can try to work out why this is protected. Or you can login outside of…

We will move to a later version of R at some point, but not planned for the next few months. We only support a specific version of R with DVD so that we can maintain consistency and supportability.

Currently there is no way to register your own database driver with DV Desktop. Currently the connectors for DB2 and SQL Server only support userID/password as a connection method.

Users can turn off the update notifications through the update UI. If you log an SR and send me the SR number we can talk it through.

What kind of export are you doing? Is it a DV project with data, or is it the data from a particular visualization, or are you downloading a file-based data source?
-
So long as it meets the minimum system requirements stated on the front page of this Community it is fine.
