I think it depends on personal preference and the kind of reports / graph you add in the dashboard. I think one column and two columns are very common. All oracle sample dashboards are either one or two column. Thanks ArijitC

Do you mean hiding column or dragging column in to horizontal axis? both is very well possible for direct database connection.

I mean to say First rename to BI Reports and verify dashboards. Then rename folder in production back to Bi Folder by clicking option

Most likely your path to the report is changed. . Drop that from the dashboard and add them back from the source. Or report may be dropped from the source. Thanks Arijit

Is there a graph , Chart involved in the dashboard with flash ? Does it have a report level aggregation? Did you Check this in different browser like chrome etc ? Is the data volume same in both cases when it runs and when it does not ? Thanks Arijit

My suggestion, if you need data level security, try to apply that in the cube through essbase filter (read or metaread filter). In your case say read filter on the essbase cube on cost center. You can also play with Label orientation , Font size along with canvas size to get what you need.
