@Senthilkumar Subramaniam Can you give a more specific example. I ask because DV prompt can utilize parameters and they are pretty powerful. They can reference Request variables, session variable and can be nested. I added a couple of videos for reference if you have not seen them. I have used all techniques above in…

@Christian Lex have you been able to get any variables to work in that field. Repository or Date variable?

Not sure if you have found your answer. It sound like you want to control the limit by option of the filters. If the filters are in the same Dashboard Filter viz, then you can go to the dashboard filter properties and select the Filter Controls tab. Expand the column and there is an option "Limit Values By" you can change.…

@KarimullaShaik Can you clarify what Product and version your using? (OAC, Classic, BIP, FAIDP [FDI], OTBI, Fusion app). What type of report is this you are running? Is this a report you created? What type of security is on the report? Do you have row level security on the report? Please provide more details so we can…

@Christian Lex I believe that field is just a plain text field and you won't be able to get the catalog path dynamically.

Hi @Christian Lex. I don't see you example and what version of OBI are you running? And just to confirm, you mean an OBIEE "Classic" agent. Without the example I may be off base but try using a ./ in place of your server name. For Example. I you are using https://myobiee.com/analytics/path-to-where-ever. Try…

@SteveF-Oracle Thank you again Steve. The client is global so we cannot use the default settings and the client does not wish to modify the workbooks using calculations. So I guess the question is now posed to FDI product managers: Will this feature be implemented in FDI?
-
@SteveF-Oracle Thank you for moving it over the FDI forum @RVohra Thank you for your comment. The main issue here is that the transactions have a GMT timestamp and when users on the East Coast view the transactions that are stamped after 7pm eastern they don't show because of the time difference even though they have the…

@Branden Pavol I do like this idea and believe it's useful, so you've got my vote. Until we can convince Oracle to add it, would creating a separate fact table in the BMM and adding all commonly used metrics and calculated metrics in there work for you? I have done this for clients to try to simply finding the most…

Thank you @Shrey Tandon. Just trying to make sure user operations stay intuitive and I think it's important for the users to answer questions quickly as they move through the data. Also just as important, authors don't have to try to invent new ways to do something we know we can do.

Which analytics application are you using? OAC or FDI. I am not sure if the following will work with FDI, but for OAC what you are asking for can be done via the catalog manager. There used to be a Catalog Manager app that was part of the Admin Tool install. That would give you a csv extract of the permissions. Today I…

@Alvaro_Soares What app within OAC are you using (DV, Classic, BIP) and inside the app what visualization are you using (table, pivot, text box)? A screenshot is also helpful. If you are in DV for example and using Text box viz, you can change you canvas properties to Freeform and have complete control over the size of the…

Thank you for your reply @SteveF-Oracle. The product is OAC and on the November update. This issue is really just making drilling easier and more intuitive for the client. And unfortunately they don't like drilling from the hierarchy tree. From a dashboard perspective a Consumer user won't understand selection steps and…

Thank you for the clarity @RVohra. I will put this in at the idea lab if it's not there. I would like the drilling function to be a little more intuitive for users.

@Ajinkya Vyawahare , You can have both the Accounts measure and the Accounts flattened in the same logical layer. This would allow you to have "Account as Hierarchy" and account as a measure. You will need two database sources, one for the account measures and one for the flattened accounts in the physical layer. You would…

Thank you Sandeep for your reply. I am looking for the logs so we can see the details around the errors eventually set up Notifications if we get an error. We don't see the an email error in the OCI logs. So I am looking for information on were that error would could be found in the OCI logs.

Thank you for your replies. I did upvote that post. Hopefully we get it soon. I know our client will want it.

Having this option will allow user to fully manage data set and data flows after the user that created them leaves the company
