Hi Jerry, Thanks for the reply. We do have that setting enabled, but it doesn't appear as though it is performing as expected. Likewise, Content paging doesn't seem to have any effect either> Unfortunately, I cannot show the results, becuase the output contains company data. Regards, Charles

Had seen these (maybe a few others I missed ...)

Thanks Christian. Good to know. Our user base is beginning to ask about having things scheduled/delivered. We're just getting into specific use cases, but we have many dashboards that contain prompts. So, we are looking at the ways of getting some of this information the the users. I have seen some discussions about this…

The analysis itself (criteria tab)

Hi Christian, I see that there are some formulas in two of the columns, in the analysis. First is COUNT ... CASE ... . Second is CASE... WHEN ... . Coulkd that override/ignore any of these settings? Regards, Charles

Thanks Christian. Is there anything at the "table" level? I was reading about the 'Style' tab ... but it didn't seem to do anything when I put in some values in that 'Rows per Page' field.

Hi Hesh, In addition to what Christian has mentioned, you may be able to get started with these notes: SRDC - Collecting Diagnostic Information for OBIEE 11g/ 12c Security Issues (Doc ID 1992262.1) To BottomTo Bottom OBIEE 12c: Quick Reference For Architecture, Lifecycle Management and File Locations (Doc ID 2067527.1)…

Agreed. Take it to: You'll get your answer there.

Hi, That isn't enough information to make a determination. You need to check more logs (or, include additional text from that one). Also, which OBIEE version? OBIEE 11g: Troubleshooting Crash Issues (Doc ID 1964727.2) Regards, Charles

Yea, we don't want to remove the entire section for all the users . Maybe, I can just create a "dummy" user that hasn't accessed anything yet. Shouldn't be any recently accessed dashboards. We could get the screen shots we're looking for that way, before any actions are taken. I thought there may have been some kind of…

Hi Christian, I think what we're trying to do here is just remove the "icons" under the Recent Dashboards section ... for a particular user. So, we want this to be empty. Is that possible? Charles
-
Thanks Christian. We'll take a look at the "Sample" folder idea. I think that makes sense as an approach to this.
-
Worked like a charm! Thanks again, this is good to know.

Hi Joel, I took one sample so far (so, making an assumption of the small sample size here). And, I can see that 3d comes up twice. Here are the tags I found them in: <saw:view xsi:type="saw:dvtchart" name="dvtchart!1"> <saw:display type="lineBar" subtype="basic" renderFormat="default" mode="online"> <saw:style…

Thanks Gianni. I was able to view that the variables were correctly being passed. In this case, I am getting both of them as dates, in the correct format (as it is a date prompt with the between operator). @Joel Acha - I wasn't able to see them from the sessions ... but, thanks for the input. Still testing this out, but…
-
Thanks Joel! I'll take a look at that. Sounds like this may be the only option, eh?
-
Hi Joel, Thanks for the follow up! I am still working on this ... but, I think I'm almost there. One thing. Is there any way to test the value of the variable in real-time (see it somewhere inside the application or log)? I see a small data discrepancy and want to confirm what the value is. Regards, Charles

I think this may be a relevant article: Using the presentation variable with date prompt between ... as we also have a date-between prompt here. I've lost some of the context to translation though
-
Hi Joel, I've been experimenting with this, but haven't quite gotten it worked out yet. Any way you can break this down into a few more steps? Charles
-
Hi Joel, Thanks. Does this mean we still keep one of the prompts? And, use a presentation variable in place of the other one? Regards, Charles
