Keeping in mind “Single source of truth” , Is there a way I can tap into FAW Semantic Layer using PowerBI so end users can consume the data from FAW. You can tap into the database tables and hook up PowerBI directly to ADW. If you need to model data you can first build it in OAC then take the generated sql and turn it into…

It fixed its self after 30 minutes. Not sure what happened in this instance.

If you beleive you did everything correctly go to Data Configuration and Reset Cache. However, you may have missed a step Manage Factory Customization's Add in your new columns and add foldersd Finish. Then publish your sandbox. You should have two steps in your augmentation.
-
Use the Semantic Model Extension to see if that column is available in the Physical Columns. If it is you can follow the wizard to add it in to the presentation layer. https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/analytics/25r1/fawag/semantic-model-customization.html

Agree with Ashish - I was able to successfully do what you have stated. The name of the VO's are FscmTopModelAM.AnalyticsServiceAM.LookupValuesPVO or FscmTopModelAM.AnalyticsServiceAM.LookupValuesTLPVO. Then create the Data Augmentation as a Data Set. Then update the Semantic Model so you can join on whatever attribute you…

I would check to see if Purchase Order Line Description is available in the VO, FscmTopModelAM.PrcExtractAM.PoBiccExtractAM.PurchasingDocumentLineExtractPVO . If it is available, from there you can go to Data Augmentation and Extend the Entity. And Extend the Purchase Order Line Entity.

@Anurag Bairagi What you could do is export all the OOTB reports and then import them into a custom folder structure. This will allow you to only select the reports you want to see. If you are using custom security then your users will not even see what is in the Oracle OOTB folders. It is not best practice but it can give…

I do not think it is possible I have tried multiple times to do this exact thing. If you need to exclude charts from being filtered and need to exclude a chart I would look to use Dashboard filters. Not the best option but has an exclude option.

Hi Sumanth, I forgot about the two options in the Generally Available features. Reset and Reload and Scheduled reload. I will ensure these are enabled and schedule full data refreshes around the P2D clone. Hopefully this helps other people looking.

Hi Jamie - Thanks for the initial input. After looking at it more closely it is still not clear. I am not seeing an option to essentially modify the Account Analysis SA. If I create a new Sandbox, Modify a Subject Area, and then modify the AA Subject area. There is no option to do anything on this page. Is this the correct…

@Wayne Van Sluys Wayne! That worked. Thank you, Conor

Hi Thank you but - This is not what I am looking for. I am looking for any documentation or steps on how to pull a substitution variable from Essbase into OAC while using the RPD as middle layer
-
@GayathriAnand-Oracle - That is our next step. We were hoping there was some type of work around since we put in a lot of effort on our initial dashboard building with the direct connection.
-
@Mostafa Morsy-Oracle Is there any way to pre load/automate the internal rpd/cache that loads when you open a workbook with a direct connection?
-
Thanks Mostafa - We have reviewed these and have implemented best practices. Although we are not using an RPD just a direct connection.

Figured out the issue see not from this documentation: FAQ #7 - In Oracle Analytics Cloud, create a data source connection using the hostname datasource-ds-01.ocivn.example.com. Only use server host name as DSN for connection.

Update on this post. I believe this is a bug I found in FAW. In our situation we have posted a journal line with an associated Invoice. The Invoice was later cancelled and a new journal line was created to offset the cancelled invoice. So we have 2 Journal lines for this transaction. However, when the CAA is created it…

In OAC go to Canvas Properties and instead of using Layout = Autofit. Try using Freeform. You have more flexibility when staging visualizations on the dashboards.

Once you stand up your FAW ERP environment you can find the OOTB dashboards under shared folders --> Oracle --> Fusion ERP
