Can you try simplifying your treemap viz to see if that makes a difference? I don't have any issues with treemaps in the Narrate view. Can you also check if there are any errors in the console > sessions.

There was mention of an idea lab on CCC for this purpose at the Oracle Analytics Summit earlier on this year but nothing else has been mentioned since then by Oracle.

If so, you'd need to enable the CSV output option - https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12213/bip/BIPRD/GUID-BBB60FD1-06A8-42BA-BD41-B351BD0B4816.htm. Select your date in the Data Elements section as mentioned, change the Data Type (if required) then the format in the properties section by clicking Custom and changing the format mask as you require.

and when you run the query that is in the obis1-query.log file directly on the database (TOAD,SQL Developer), do you get the correct results?

I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work. The Mac OS version of DVD doesn't have a full set of functionality when compared with the windows version. Only options are to either run DVD on Windows natively or on a Windows VM on your Mac.
