We found a workaround without changing the layout. In the layout wherever we have this text item, there we first inserted a data table and then dragged and dropped the text field in that table. Then the data is displayed as is in the database. Thank you so much for all your help.

I have attached the rtf template. Now I can see the formatting. I think the reason why its not showing in our reports is that earlier they have used inline layout. Thank you.
