One workaround I've found (not sure if this works for AGO): do a calculated column in DV classic analysis and copy the code. This usually resolves correctly.

There is also no way to "persist" calculations except doing so in a data flow or subject area. Not exactly the same, but issue adjacent I think. This would be extremely helpful to achieve a consistent look & feel. I'd expand that to "classic" analyses and dashboards as well, insofar as fonts, colors, sizes etc. are concerned.

I'd generally like to have an option to rename axes, measures etc. used in a visual, akin to the custom titles. 

Do you want to show the data label? I tested this both in DV and an analysis and there are downward bars. Is there something I'm missing from your question?

For me, this bugs out as soon as I do more than two or three clicks on it. Rows are empty, out of sync etc.
