Just to add to what Gianni said, you can find the Admin Tool on your OBIEE Server at following location <MIDDLE WARE HOME>\Oracle_BI1\clients\biserver OR Refer to below video on how to download Admin Tool from Analytics Page and install on your client machine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eST9CYMUI8k I think you won't…

Could you give a live example from your system on what exactly do you mean by group membership was missing after export/import of users/groups from prod to development environment? Did the user with same name in prod and development instance had different set of groups assigned and after export and import nothing changed…

I did read it!! When I was in middle of post and a call then you posted this "A security realm GROUP can never auto-magically and without intervention become an Application Role." All it took is a difference of 4 minutes!!
-
Just to add , you have said in your initial post "But i do not see them in EM as groups but as application roles", that is not possible, they cannot automatically appear in EM ,you have to create with a name(which if you want can be same) in EM under application roles. If you are getting confused with the existing embedded…

Thanks Christian Berg for correcting, I thought for same entry it updates CACHE_IND_FLG to 'Y'

There is no need to recreate old Application Roles only the Groups as it isn't taken care by the migration process. Not completely my suggestion mentioned in Oracle Product Document

Are you checking database table S_NQ_ACCT directly to verify if all report queries have been inserted or your verifying the same through BIEE Usage Tracking Report? Because if you are checking usage tracking data through report there is a possibility that report might be hitting Cache and fetching the result hence not…

In my experience when you perform a migration from 11g to 12c then out of the box BIEE 12c application role gets overwritten with BIEE 11g application roles. But if your migration was successful and your 11g Catalog is in place now in 12c environment then you shouldn't be facing Administrative access missing issue as…

Okay, do you have Admin access to BI application, if yes then follow below steps, only follow below steps for your user folder, keep backup of content in your My Folder just to be on safer side: 1. Login into analytics application as Admin User and go to the catalog user interface (UI) in OBIEE and switch to the "Admin…

Permissions on VA object looks good, did you try saving the Project in some other(under Shared Folders) location other then My Folder, if done so are you then able to launch VA project from BI catalog?
-
Hello Sravan, Could you verify your VA Object Permissions which you have saved under "My Folder", check if object permission is custom then it has Read,Traverse,Write and Delete privilege, in this Read and Traverse privilege is a must for object to be viewed in catalog and object to be launched and open VA project…

I think blow might give you desired result Create an additional column in your analysis and edit column formula of this column to change it as below and then put a filter on this column to limit number of rows to 5 using filters, make sure your date field is already sorted in descending order. EVALUATE('rownum' AS INTEGER)…

Just to add to all above comments: EVALUATE_SUPPORT_LEVEL value 1 or 2 meaning: For value 1 Evaluate is supported for users with manageRepositories permission(it is assigned through application policies to an application role of which user is part of) For value 2 Evaluate is supported for any user.

Hello There, What is your OBIEE 12c Version? It looks like you are hitting a known issue, please refer to below mentioned document. OBIEE 12c: Favorites And List Of Recent Reports Are Removed After Log Off And Log On (Doc ID 2113640.1) Thanks and Regards, Syed Hamd Salman

From the error message it looks like your report is set to deliver to users(OBIEE and non-OBIEE) and post an Alert on the user's Home Page in OBI which is saved in OBIEE users My Folder, but for non OBIEE user there is no Dashboard Profile hence the error. So the question is do you have report being delivered to non-OBIEE…
